The World Series of Poker series is quickly becoming benchmark for all poker video games. First and foremost, Activision has given the presentation a complete overhaul, giving you more of a television feel. The screen has been split up into three parts; one for the table, one for the player and one for the cards. The career mode is all-new as well, with your ultimate goal being to be named Player of the Year. The main nitpick with the game is that the chips displayed on-screen do not accurately represent your chip count. Once you get past that, World Series of Poker 2008: Battle for the Bracelets is a wonderful poker simulation and recommended to anyone who wants a poker game for the PlayStation 3.
